Re: Anti vax passport billboard removed quickly (Tri-City News, Oct. 7 and online https://www.tricitynews.com/local-news/massive-anti-vaccine-card-billboard-in-port-coquitlam-turns-heads-before-swiftly-removed-4359583)
I wish to respond to the article in your Oct. 7 paper about the removal of the vaccine passport billboard.
I am not sure how society has got to the point where somebody can become "triggered" by this sign to the point where such a fuss was made that Allvision felt pressured to remove it, causing it to break its sales agreement with Police on Guard.
This is censorship and something that we should all be concerned about.
Whether one agrees with the message on the sign or not, the group that paid for it to be displayed have a right to express their views.
To the person who took the photo and felt so offended that she felt she had a duty to protect the rest of us from viewing this sign, I say shame on you!
To Allvision for buckling to an overly sensitive individual who felt triggered, I also say shame on you!
