"May I ask why our media seem to always take issue with announcements of government investments on the eve of an election?" says the letter writer.

"Of particular interest to me is the group of lovely, early-flowering Whitcomb Higan cherry trees surrounding the Terry Fox statue at the Terry Fox Library at the corner of Wilson Avenue and Mary Hill Road in Port Coquitlam," says the letter writer.

"The BC Liberals, in order to get reelected, are already awash in oceans of money from rich corporations and developers. They are financially morbidly obese," says the letter writer.

"Successfully sustaining curling in the Tri-Cities is dependent on the success of the learn-to-curl program and youth programs," says the letter writer.

"Canada is fortunate to have many sources of renewable power but it lags behind Europe in terms of research, incentive programs, available technology and policies," says the letter writer.
