For the next couple of weeks, the Lower Mainland will grind to a halt as Canuck fever overtakes the region.

The Editor, Re. "Frozen waste" (Letters, The Tri-City News, May 27). Stop complaining about the small amount of smelly food that you need to get rid of - your freezer cannot be that full.

Perhaps there is never a good time to propose a vehicle levy but this latest reincarnation of the dreaded car tax comes at a bad time for Tri-City residents.

The Editor, Re. "Welcome. That cost $50k" (The Tri-City News). There have been many comments on the proposed "Welcome to Coquitlam" signs. I hope council gets the message.

The Editor, Re. "Anti-pesticide push coming to Coquitlam" (The Tri-City News, May 18). A recent article in The Tri-City News contained significant misinformation about the safety and regulation process for pesticides that should be addressed.

The Editor, Re. "PoCo pesticide ban a vote away" (The Tri-City News, May 27).

The Editor, Re. "Welcome. That will cost $50k" (The Tri-City News, May 18). To Coquitlam's mayor and council: My taxes went up $400 last year and now there is a committee being struck on how to spend the surplus. Please return my $400.

The Editor, My doorbell rang yesterday afternoon and who should I find on my doorstep but a dog licensing person sent by the city of Port Coquitlam to track down errant dog owners.
