We in the Lower Mainland tend to be oblivious to the fact we're essentially occupiers on never-surrendered First Nations land.

The Editor, Re. "Cities deal with concerns over heat pump noise" (The Tri-City News, March 2). This is fast becoming an issue that must be dealt with properly in all municipalities.

The Editor, Re. "Late-night transit crucial" (Letters, The Tri-City News, March 2). We regret that letter-writer Rita Pollock felt her night out had to be curtailed because SkyTrain did not run later.

FACE TO FACE: Gas prices go up and down in lockstep - is collusion the reason? When pundits and analysts subject us to explanations about how supply and demand affects gas prices, I can't help but feel that they think we're stupid.

The Editor, Re. " Late-night transit crucial" (Letters, The Tri-City News, March 2). TransLink is not my favourite transportation authority by far but its hours of operation are similar to those found in many bigger cities.

FACE TO FACE: Gas prices go up and down in lockstep - is collusion the reason? It's easy to imagine inflexible class warriors such as my debating partner using crayons to do their economic 'rithmetic.

Many Canadians are barely keeping their heads above water when it comes to their finances.
