The following programs are available for Coquitlam youth. Youth Basketball Get ready for some basketball action in this casual drop-in. Brush up on your skills, learn new ones or join a game of pick up. This program is on Mondays from 5:45-7:45 p.m.

Weather forecasters are calling for some partially sunny periods this weekend, which should give Tri-City fun seekers enough time to get outside and enjoy several outdoor events.

There are plenty of outdoor activities in Abbotsford to get your adrenaline pumping this summer.

Children are invited to create their own jazzy book/art memento with local artist Masha Levene. Bring special photos of yourself, friends or family to put in the book and the library will provide the rest.

Join the First Annual Tri-Cities Walk for ALS and help support research into the cause of and cure for ALS and to support patient services provided by the ALS Society of B.C.

A Tri-City resident will be cycling 200 kms in support of lung research this fall. Russell Enair of Port Coquitlam will be participating in the BC Lung Association's annual Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath for his 12th year.

STUDENT HELP Port Moody Rotarians recently handed over $10,000 to the Douglas College Foundation to help students in caring programs like nursing, therapeutic recreation and community social services.

Last June, before classes ended for the summer, volunteers with the Coquitlam Youth Council stood in high school lobbies, handed out flyers and talked to students with the aim to bolster membership for the 2010/'11 year.
