Will Davis, a long-time Coquitlam resident and father of five, is running for the federal Liberals in the Port Moody-Coquitlam riding.

A long-time Coquitlam resident who has been active in his children’s schools will be the flag bearer for the federal Liberals in Port Moody-Coquitlam.

Will Davis said on Facebook that he appreciated those who took part in the virtual vote on Sunday and he thanked the two candidates who also sought the nomination.

“I want to thank everyone who came out on Father’s Day to vote for me in the nomination meeting,” wrote Davis. “I am honoured to be representing the Liberal party in this riding in the upcoming federal election.”

Davis polled the most votes, winning the chance to represent federal Liberals over candidates Port Moody Coun. Zoe Royer and Kyle Demes.

The federal election has not been called; however, the New Democrats have nominated Coquitlam Coun. Bonita Zarrillo while the Conservatives have acclaimed incumbent candidate Nelly Shin.

Davis is a father of five who has been active in three school parent advisory councils in School District 43 and is a consultant, working with businesses and not-for profit organizations.
