The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is hosting a headshot party where patrons will receive one free portrait to update their business or social media profile.

A smile goes a long way.

Especially if its within the four edges of a well-photographed portrait attached to your résumé that you've painstakingly put together while job hunting.

The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce (TCCC) is offering community members the chance to update their professional headshot, or provide a new one, for their business or social media profile during a networking night on Aug. 30.

The organization has teamed up with Butter Studios for the event in Port Moody.

A photographer will take your portrait and patrons are set to receive one web-sized photo for free.

However, the TCCC's event description says interested guests can pay extra to either upgrade to a high-resolution file ($30) or add multiple files ($50 each or $120 for three).

A gallery of proofs are set to be available after the evening, which is also acting as a meet-and-greet with as food and alcoholice drinks being served.

Each ticket includes one complimentary beer, wine or cider. Artisanal pizzas, as well as chips and salsa, are also available for purchase.

Registration is required as spots are limited, the TCCC explains.

The Sip and Snap Headshot Party takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 30. at the Outpost community hub — located at 3001 St Johns St.

Tickets start at $25 for TCCC members and $35 for non-members.
