Trail Planning

Help the City of Port Moody create a future trail network. Share your thoughts at a Shoreline Trail pop-up information session from 3 to 5 p.m. in the 3200-block of Murray Street in Port Moody (between Klahanie Drive East and West), where city staff and consultants will have information boards and maps of Port Moody’s current trail system.

PoMo Farmers Market

Tour the Wednesday farmers market in the parking lot next to the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.) from 3 to 7 p.m. where vendors and entertainers will be on site.

Keep Bills Low

The Coquitlam Public Library and the Credit Counselling Society present an online workshop about financial literacy from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will gather tips on how to save on various household expenses including utilities, transportation, groceries and personal items. Participants will also be encouraged to share their best practices with each other. Registration is required. The library will be offering this tutorial using Zoom.

Wildlife and You

The City of Port Coquitlam is offering ways to live in bear and coyote territory at a session on Sept. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). The event in the JB Young Room will see city staff talk about wildlife behaviours in an urban environment, as well as provide tips on how to prevent conflict with the animals.

Writers in Our Midst

Scribes can mingle and chat about their work at Writers in Our Midst (WiOM), which takes place at the Port Moody Public Library (100 Newport Dr.) from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
