It’s the first day of the academic year in School District 43 (SD43), and police are advising commuters to slow down around Tri-Cities schools and watch for students returning after the summer break.

Sing Sing Sing
Weekly rehearsals restart today for Choral Connections, an adult community choir that meets at the Trinity United Church in Port Coquitlam (2211 Prairie Ave.) under artistic director Ingrid Gay and pianist Vincent Lo. The practices are from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
