The Editor, Re. “Housing proposed for ERH land” (The Tri-City News, March 2).

Whenever a city council awards itself a pay raise, it takes heat, and that’s certainly true in Port Coquitlam.

One of the basic rules set out in B.C.’s Strata Property Act — which typically comes up during an annual general meeting — is that a strata corporation may amend bylaws through a three-quarters vote of owners.

The Editor, Re. “Federal tax change leads to a likely hike in council costs” (front page, The Tri-City News, March 9).

The Editor, Will Mayor Mike Clay, Port Moody council and their union loyalists lay out the cost of this proposed new works yard and how much the city is already in financial disarray to pay for repairing existing amenities?

B-Line buses for Port Coquitlam and other cities should make it easier to live without a car, making life more affordable for families

The Editor, Port Moody council and the city’s residents have been made aware of my concern about the level of density being encouraged around the transit stations.

If our neighbour’s sons, Zack and Ryan, are an indication of the helpful community spirit in our neighbourhood, then we’re in good hands.
