The Editor, Re. "NDP demands audit of Multi-Material BC (www.tricitynews.com). It is important to clarify a few points in the referenced article.

Tri-City residents enjoying a little break in gas prices might be forgiven if they are spending the savings at the mall or the grocery store.

The Editor, Re. "Thanks for blood - but the need is constant" (Letters, The Tri-City News, Dec. 3).

The Editor, It is hard to believe that courts in Canada can side with a ruling by an unelected and unaccountable body (the National Energy Board) over the objections and bylaws of a duly elected body (Burnaby council) and a community.

A fter the knock-down, drag-out fight of the recent public schools strike, it's understandable that the Coquitlam Teachers' Association and others want to remind British Columbians that the government should do more to fund public education properly.

The Editor, On behalf of Canadian Blood Services, I'd like to sincerely thank residents of this community who responded to our recent urgent appeal for blood.

The Editor, I'd like to thank the Hyde Creek Watershed Society streamkeepers for welcoming the community to their wonderful open house Nov. 16 .
