Teams from British Columbia climbed every step of the podium at the Canadian Ball Hockey Association’s junior national championships that concluded Sunday at Coquitlam’s Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex.

Ancaster, Ont. may not be at the top summer destination for every 11- and 12-year-old, but a team of Coquitlam Little League baseball players couldn’t be more excited to be booking a trip there.

For the first time since their opening game at the BC Little League Majors provincial championships, the Coquitlam All-Stars didn’t need late-inning heroics. But they did need some in the first two innings of their semifinal game against Dunbar.
