America wants to charge us for the privilege of visiting. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently proposed a crossing fee for visitors travelling across America's northern and southern borders.

T he Stephen Harper Conservatives won 39.6% of the popular vote in the 2011 election, which gave them 54% of the seats in the House of Commons and, essentially, absolute power to do whatever they want.

VICTORIA T he BC Liberal Party deserves credit for releasing its policy book in full on the eve of the formal election campaign. That's about the only positive thing to be said about it.

If you were wondering, in consideration of a massive and ever-changing deficit , whether heads will roll in School District 43, let us reassure you: They will. But they will be the wrong heads.
