S ure, Quebec Premier Pauline Marois' proposed ban on religious garb and symbols is an electoral stunt.

Can a homeless shelter ever be squeaky clean, guaranteed not to offend someone? That's a question that could be raised after the closure of a temporary church-based homeless shelter that has helped hundreds of people get off the street.

The Editor, In April, Tri-City Transitions Society partnered with SUCCESS to locate its A Chance to Choose youth employment program to the resource centre on the corner of Mary Hill Road and Kelly Avenue in Port Coquitlam.

The Editor, Re. "Girl, 15, struck and killed" (The Tri-City News, Sept. 13). My heart goes out to her family and friends of the girl who was killed so tragically and unnecessarily just down my road.

How kind that the industry group Multi-Material British Columbia (MMBC) is willing to give municipalities a few extra days to consider its proposal for picking up our cans, bottles and papers on their behalf.

The Editor, I would like to thank the two Good Samaritans who stopped to help me after I fell on Dewdney Trunk Road in Port Moody on Sept. 11. I was really shook up and when I looked up, there were two people there to assist me in any way they could.

The Editor, Re. "The Bateman strategy: Kill TransLink & reg. vision" (Opinion, The Tri-City News, Sept. 6). I'm disgusted at Gordon Price's attack on Jordan Bateman of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
